22 Dec 2005 - half past noon today is a day of little things: 1) A good little thing happened this morning. The stop where I normally catch the light rail to work occasionally serves as a turnaround point for outbound trains to return inbound. I practically never catch one of these trains, but today I did. Ah, to have a window seat to myself. Hell, to have a seat at all... 2) As for work, not such a good thing, but only a little thing. The office manager ordered pizza for us, bless her. But did she order from any of San Francisco's famous nearby pizzarias? North Beach? Escape from New York? California Pizza Kitchen? Nope. Bless her stingy little heart, she ordered from the cheapest, Amici's. Vomit on pizza crust. After tasting this crap, I'd sooner eat Dominoes or Little Caesar's. I've had pizza that didn't taste all that great before, but this was bad, bad, bad. Shitty quality, and stupid combo ideas. Mushrooms, olives and green peppers, and you call that a vegetarian? And why did she not order the standbys, the cheese, the pepperoni, the combo? Why "spicy chicken"?
